Memorandum with the Savings Deposit Insurance Fund of Turkey

On September 27, 2023, in Boston, USA, a Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation was signed between the Fund of Guarantee Citizens' Deposits in Banks of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Savings Deposit Insurance Fund of Turkey.

The purpose of the Memorandum is to develop an open dialogue and mutually beneficial cooperation between the Funds through the conduct of bilateral consultations, meetings, seminars and round tables to develop proposals for improving deposit insurance systems of the two countries.

The parties agreed to cooperate in implementing best global practices in the area of deposit insurance, exchanging practical experience in protecting the interests of depositors of liquidated banks, and strengthening the role of Funds in maintaining financial stability in the two countries.
