Exchange of letters (EOL) with Deposit Insurance Corporation of Japan

On May 31st, 2023 Fund of Guarantee Citizens’ Deposits in Banks (FBOKF) signed an Exchange of letters with the Deposit Insurance Corporation of Japan (DICJ). During the APRC annual meeting and international conference, FBOKF privately met delegates of DICJ to discuss the ways of strengthening the relations, which concluded with the signing of EOL.

The goal of signing the EOL is the promotion of international cooperation in the field of deposit insurance which includes the following:

1) Exchange of information, including Annual reports and other public information

2) Prompt response to technical inquiries

3) Effective support for the exchange of experts and staff

4) Bilateral meetings between the two organizations, which may take advantage of international conferences and meetings

FBOKF and DICJ both strongly believe that the enhancement of the cooperation will strengthen the economy and financial system of both countries.
