The fund attended 2nd IADI APRC Study Visit

In November 2022, the delegate from the “Fund of guarantee citizens' deposits in banks” led by the director of the fund Nodir Abbosov attended the 2nd IADI APRC Study Visit and IDIC International Seminar 2022 which was held in Bali, Indonesia from 7 to 9 November 2022.

The fund was invited to the event as an official member of APRC (Asian-pacific Regional Committee) as it recently joined the committee. Thus, the fund is a member of two committees APRC and EARC (Euro-Asian Regional Committee) both of which are part of IADI (International Association of Deposit Insurers).

The forum drew representatives of deposit insurers and international organizations from all around the world, which provided an opportunity for participants to listen to various opinions and share their experiences. The study visit focused on Cybersecurity and Corporate Risk Management, which concisely clarified the potential threats to deposit insurers and the overall financial market. The international seminar on Climate Change, Decarbonization, Sustainability, and Green Economy clearly outlined the issue and positive contributions deposit insurers can have on the environment. The event undoubtedly impacted participants’ views on the notion and magnitude of cybersecurity risk and provided a push for deposit insurers toward more proactive approaches concerning the protection of the environment.
